  • Greenhouse gas emissions: 66.3 million metric tons gross emissions in 1998 (57.7 million metric tons net, accounting for LULUCF), on a carbon-dioxide equivalent basis.

Important Initiatives related to Climate Change:

INDC: In its Intended Nationally Determined Contribution (INDC), submitted to the UNFCCC in 2015, the Republic of Serbia expressed its willingness to achieve a 9.8% percent reduction in greenhouse gas reductions below its 1990 levels by the year 2030. The text of Serbia’s INDC can be viewed here.

NEEAP: The Republic of Serbia has produced its Second National Energy Efficiency Action Plan (NEEAP) in 2013. The Action Plan may be found here.
