  • Greenhouse Gas Emissions: 26.5 million metric tons gross emissions in 2012 (19.9 million metric tons net, accounting for LUCF), on a carbon-dioxide equivalent basis. Croatia’s 2nd 3rd and 4th National Communication combined submission to the UNFCCC estimated 29.9 million metric tons gross emissions in 2003 (14.5 net, accounting for carbon sinks).
  • Energy use per capita: 1,813 kg of oil equivalent, 2013

INDC: As an EU member nation, Croatia’s commitment is contained within the larger European Union INDC, which commits its 28 members to a combined reduction of 40% below 1990 levels by 2030. The text of the European Union INDC can be viewed here.
