  • GDP: US$477.1 billion (2015, World Bank estimate)
  • Greenhouse Gas Emissions: 399.3 million metric tons gross emissions in 2012 (367.4 million metric tons net, accounting for LUCF), on a carbon-dioxide equivalent basis. Poland’s 2016 National Inventory Report estimated 2014 emissions to be 380 million metric tons gross emissions (347.5 net, accounting for carbon sinks).
  • Energy use per capita: 2,496 kg of oil equivalent, 2013

Important Initiatives related to Climate Change:

INDC: As an EU member nation, Poland’s commitment is contained within the larger European Union INDC, which commits its 28 members to a combined reduction of 40% below 1990 levels by 2030. The text of the European Union INDC can be viewed here.
