Lithuania’s 2016 National Inventory Report to the UNFCCC estimated 19.1 million metric tons gross emissions (11.0 net, accounting for carbon sinks).

Important Initiatives related to Climate Change:

INDC: As an EU member nation, Lithuania’s commitment is contained within the larger European Union INDC, which commits its 28 members to a combined reduction of 40% below 1990 levels by 2030. The text of the European Union INDC can be viewed here.

NEEAP: Lithuania produced its Second National Energy Efficiency Action Plan in 2011. The Action Plan may be found here.
