Regional Energy Planning (REP) is critical to achieve a reduction of the share of energy expenditure in the budgets of municipalities and regions, allowing to cover the energy needs while minimizing energy costs in a cost-effective and environmental manner.

Pavel Manchev will present an overview of the importance of REP and the general practices, examples and key findings across the EU on the REP’s preparation, development and implementation stages.

Pavel has over 20 years of experience working in energy efficiency, with extensive expertise in Municipal and National Energy Planning - NEEAPs, MEPs, SEAPs. He has worked on Financial Engineering, Economic and Technical Analyses and Assessment, as well as having developed and coordinated international Energy Efficiency and RES projects financed by USAID, EC, GEF/UNDP, WB, UNECE, CENTER-NOVEM, JICA, and CIDA.
